Introducing Manta Phone Calls: Automatically Record, Transcribe, and Save Every Phone Conversation
Dec 22, 2025

Phone Calls Are Now Fully Documented — Without Extra Work
Veterinarians spend significant time on phone conversations with pet owners, specialists, and labs, but these details often never reach the medical record. They may try to type during calls, write notes on paper to transfer later, or rely on memory — all of which lead to incomplete or delayed documentation.
Manta solves this problem by capturing phone call details automatically. Every call through Manta is recorded, transcribed, and linked to the appropriate patient case so veterinarians can focus on the conversation instead of note-taking.
Phone Calls with Manta
With Manta, veterinarians can:
Make calls without leaving their workflow
Automatically capture every word in a phone conversation
Seamless incorporate calls into patient records
Save time previously spent on post-call documentation
Focus on patients instead of paperwork
How Manta Phone Calls Works
Step 1: (One-time Setup) Verify Your Phone Number
Users verify their personal or clinic phone number through a four-step process:
Go to Settings → General → Verified Phone Numbers
Click "Add Phone Number" and enter your clinic or personal number
Receive a verification call - Manta will call your number immediately
Type in the 6-digit code shown in Manta and press “Check Verification”
Done! Your verified number can now be used for calls
Optional: Adding multiple numbers (clinic, personal, etc.), sharing verified numbers with your team.
Step 2: Make a Call
Calls can be initiated directly from patient or case screens by clicking “Call,” selecting a verified phone number, and entering the recipient’s number (re-dials will auto-populate). Calls happen through a web browser, no physical phone is required.
Step 3: During the Call
All calls include an automated message ("This call is being recorded") for both parties. While calling:
See the call timer and patient details on screen
Both sides of the conversation are automatically recorded
Press "Hang Up" when finished
Manta is automatically recording both sides of the conversation in high quality.
Step 4: After the Call
Once the call ends, Manta:
Saves the recording
Transcribes the call
Links the call to the relevant patient record
This results in a complete, professional call record without typing a single note.
